CPGS Head Instructor Hired as Odessa Goalie Coach

CPGS is proud to announce that CPGS Head Instructor, Cody Campbell, has been hired by the Odessa Jackalopes of the NAHL. Cody is in his third year of being the Head Instructor at CPGS. Along side Steve Briere he has helped many goalies reach their goals of playing JR A and NCAA hockey through the CPGS Prospects Camp. Cody has also played a key role in instructing the CPGS Summer Camps. He has helped summer camp goalies improve their game while having fun doing it.

Cody is freshly off completing his playing career at Niagara University (NCAA DI). Before accepting a full scholarship to Niagara, Cody had a successful Jr hockey career while playing for the Fargo Force and Cedar Rapids of the USHL. He was also able to represent the United States in 2009 while playing for Team USA in the Ivan Hilinka tournament in Slovakia.

CPGS caught up with Cody shortly after being hired by Odesaa. Here is what he had to say.

” I have to start by thanking the Odessa Jackalopes and Head Coach Matt Cressman for giving me this opportunity. I have been fortunate enough to be head instructor at CPGS and work with Steve Briere for the past three years. Having Steve as a mentor has been invaluable and having the opportunity to work with him and learn from him has been incredible.”

Cody went on to say, ” I have a passion for coaching, I love helping kids reach their goals. I am really looking forward to this opportunity to coach the goalies for Odessa and can’t wait to help the team and the goalies reach there goals.”
